Credit Crunch!
Now is the time to enjoy an inexpensive holiday in Britain while the exchange rate with the Euro and Dollar is so advantageous for those coming from Europe and USA and for those living in UK to save by not going abroad and explore Glorious Galloway (Scotland's real secret) with its lovely coast and beaches, mountains, wildlife, gardens, historic towns, castles and Abbeys. We have kept our prices the same as 2010. Self-Catering offers the best value holidays with freedom to come and go as you please and try out all the wonderful local Galloway food: local meat from our hills, wonderful fish and shellfish from our local fishing fleet in Kirkcudbright, special cheeses, breads, pates, chocolates etc - all made locally.

News:
Upper Rusko House
After a difficult letting year in 2010 we are sorry to say that Upper Rusko House will not be available for 2011 at least as we have let it for the whole year - this may possibly be renewed at the end of the year. But Upper Rusko Cottage, Garden Cottage and Woodhead Cottage are available for holidays as usual.
Dark Skies & Perfect Star Gazing.
The Galloway Forest Park has recently been officially recognised as the first Dark Sky Park in the UK, confirming Galloway as one of the best places in the world for star gazing - our Upper Rusko Cottage is the perfect place to stay and see the stars at their best.
