News:
Although the weather has been quite mixed recently, the sea is still quite warm (I am still swimming every day) and the last few days the surf has been up - lots of kite surfers and windsurfers!
The River Fleet has also been in flood a lot and we have caught sea-trout every time we have been down in good conditions. Hopefully it will continue to fish well until the end of the season at the end of October. There are more swans on Loch Ornockenoch again, including on Whooper swan who has been here all summer - waiting for his friends to come back soon, I imagine. The Canadian Water Weed is quite thick, but the swans are helping to keep it down (as is Tony with his lake mower), so the loch is just about fishable and there are lots of fish.
The renovated Cairnsmore Visitor Centre is now open at the Viaduct and there are several new sculptures to find and poems to listen to.
Our new path along the river is now firm and a great success, but has yet to have its signs put up by the Council.
